Itinerary
Day 1 - Tbilisi
Get acquainted with Tbilisi on a stroll through the city, a local historian joins us to enrich our knowledge and appreciation for the sites. A brief introduction to the local wines gives us a taste of what's to come.
Accommodation: Stamba Hotel, Tbilisi
Stamba Hotel: Formerly a 20thC printing house, the Stamba has been lovingly restored to capture its old brutalist framework with a nod to the roaring '20's and '30's. Fresh touches lend a distinctively contemporary edge, delivering an artistic journey that's at once vintage and modern.
Day 2 - Caucasus Mountains
Explore two of the most revered historical sites in Georgia before our local friend hosts us for lunch at his boutique winery. Venture into Georgia’s Greater Caucasus Mountains to wander a charming ski town.

Day 3 - Mount Kazbegi
Hike to a 14thC Church where soaring views overlook the valley and imposing Mount Kazbegi. This evening a local friend hosts us at their house for an intimate culinary and cultural experience.

Day 4 - Kakheti
Walk among peaceful meadows and old villages before we're transported into Georgia's prominent wine region, the broad and historically rich, Kakheti Valley.

Day 5 - Tusheti Mountains
Among the Tusheti mountains, we'll hike into the lush forest and discover historic ruins. Before the day ends, our talented local friend shows us his craft of Qwevri making, a skill that few still practice.

Day 6 - Tbilisi
Enjoy a relaxing morning before we visit a couple of must-see villages on the way to our destination. We have a special final evening planned, a perfect surprise to bring our adventure to a close.

Day 7 - Departure
A private driver will take you to the Tbilisi International Airport for your onward travels. So long!
Activity Level: Moderate. This trip is rated Occasional. The terrain is generally varied with some steep grades. The city walking routes have some varied terrain as well.
