Botswana: Drink It In
Begin your journey in the hidden gem of the Linyanti Wildlife Management area, tucked away in the northeastern corner of the Chobe National Park. Due to its remoteness, the Linyanti is a gorgeous, unspoiled region of waterways and lagoons, riverine forests, huge trees and palm tree islands. It is renowned as one of the best game viewing areas in the region, supporting a great diversity of wildlife, with large herds of elephant, buffalo and zebra.
Your journey culminates in the pristine Okavango Delta. This remarkable environment constantly adapts and changes with the ebb and flow of the floodwaters that seasonally inundate large portions of the delta. Although dry for two-thirds of the year, during the winter months the rising floodwaters create a maze of marshes, small wooded islands and shallow lagoons. On the edges of the delta, where land blurs with water, breeding herds of elephants splash gently through shallow channels, the long necks of a family of giraffes materialize slowly out of the delta skyline and graceful sitatunga antelope hide in the reeds.

Itinerary
Days 1-2: Linyanti Wildlife Reserve, Botswana
Upon arrival at Maun International Airport you will be greeted by a member from the team who will assist you onto a Mack Air light aircraft (approximately 55 minutes). From here, you and fellow guests will be flown to Chobe Airstrip. Your first flight over this pristine water wilderness will leave lasting impressions. Keep a look out for hippos in the waterways and elephants amongst the trees. Delight in adventure during your 2 night stay at DumaTau Camp in a Tent with ensuite bathroom. Your stay includes all meals, twice daily scheduled Camp activities, park fees, laundry and all local drinks.

DumaTau is a small, luxury tented camp situated along the Savute Channel in the private Linyanti concession in northern Botswana. The camp is built under a shady grove of mangosteen trees and overlooks a large hippo-filled lagoon within the Linyanti waterway system. Luxurious tented rooms boast comfortable beds, ensuite bathrooms with outside showers and flush w.c’s. Guest areas include a dining area where delicious meals are served, pub, sitting room, outdoor boma, swimming pool and a special guest bathroom with a magnificent view. Adventures at Duma Tau Camp are diverse and allow guests to spend time on water, land and foot. The source of the Savute Channel is close to the camp, and day and night game drives in open 4x4 safari vehicles up the Savute are one of the highlights of the area. Walking safaris and mekoro (traditional dugout canoe) excursions are also on offer.

Days 3-5: Okavango Delta, Botswana
Enjoy a short game drive to Chobe Airstrip where a Mack Air light aircraft will be waiting to fly you, and fellow guests, to Xaranna Airstrip (approximately 40 minutes). The lodge offers and exclusive experience to discover the wonder and magic of this extraordinary ecosystem. Put your feet up during your 3 night stay at Xaranna Okavango Delta Camp in a Safari Tent with indoor bathtub and al fresco shower, sala and private plunge pool. Your stay includes three meals daily, soft drinks, house wines, local brand spirits and beers, refreshments on game drives, scheduled safari activities, emergency medical evacuation insurance, laundry as well as transfers to and from the airstrip.

Your destination is situated in an area of golden-grassed floodplains inhabited by a staggering variety of wildlife. Reawaken your soul during your 3 night stay at Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge in a Suite with indoor and outdoor showers. Your stay includes three meals daily, soft drinks, house wines, local brand spirits, beers, refreshments on game drives, scheduled safari activities, emergency medical evacuation insurance, laundry as well as transfers to and from the airstrip.
